This Award was given because we took off the aluminum siding and uncovered stucco and embedded trim boards and brought them back to life with the homeowners Architects  guidance.

 

I put off my honeymoon With my wife 26 years to wash the house and get it prepared.

I was invited to have wine with the building commissioner at a ceremony

2023, CONCORD Historical Preservation Commission Award-Winning Project.

19 Thoreau Court, Concord, MA.

Front = 1700's

CONCORD gave the award because 2023 is how the house looks on all three sides, but from the 1700s is how the house looks in front, they were amazed that we were able to salvage the woodwork redo the windows put on proper storms and not use storm windows outside to go over the beautiful historic casings. that’s why the ward Was given, plus the street is famous person.

I also received a quote from my 2023 Inspector saying I was throwing honest and I received the 1994 building inspectors quote, saying that I followed all the rules and regulations. Both at the beginning at the end of my contracting career potentially.

Building Inspector local Building Department.

 

It was my first month Consulting for and project managing  for a new company Mr. Robert Young, owner,New England Stone.

 

I was walking in front of the building inspector on the way to inspect a project. One of the first permits, I pulled working for somebody else and besides myself.

 

I was feeling a little bit down and I Inspector Gifford I turned, and I said, “what do you remember when you working with me years back over the years?”

He rifled back, literally …..

“Thorough and honest”.

As my ears heard and my brain, comprehended the words, from that moment, I was propelled forward, the words of that Inspector lifted my spirits, and reminded me from that moment that I was respected. If he only knows the greatness that he had bestowed upon me, by giving me that compliment, I am forever grateful to inspector Gifford.
